I understand why you would advise that but I disagree. I have performed all firmware, gimbal, and camera updates perfectly and recommend them to all. I suspect there are a few buggy boards out there but you generally won’t hear from people who did it successfully and are happy.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
Changed usb port.
Used original zino usb cable to reflash...and...NOW IT WORKS!
Hope problems have gone...

That's what I am trying to figure out, if it's a buggy board that needs the zino returned or if there are other troubleshooting steps I can take before I do.irussphone wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 9:51 amI understand why you would advise that but I disagree. Waiting on a response from support to find out

Thank you for the update!
I take it you mean the cord and not the port..
I will try that and if it does not work, continue to wait on response from support.
Re: After update, Zino will not pair to controller or show network
Both, changed cord (this time used the original hubsan) AND usb port too.
Surely better to use a 'direct' usb and not an hub port.

Just to complete information...drone is connecting now, but still no wifi form drone visible in the wifi section of phone. So its normal to see nothing there.

Re: After update, Zino will not pair to controller or show network
Hi woo65,
Your story of success motivated me to give the whole thing another few attempts...
I had previously used the Hubsan cable but this was a last ditch effort before returning for a replacement Zino.
So what I did (I could have just been lucky..) was to force disconnect power during the firmware update.
After that I used the tool again, twice and it connected after that without updating the application, perhaps that forced a rewrite or a reset or something.
I wouldn't suggest to anyone else to try that because I was guaranteed a refund having bought within the EU. (To me, there must have been a hardware issue. was probably the FC Firmware though)
I can't say for sure what happened to cause the issue but in my opinion some sort of error during the update.
So thanks woo65! I would have been waiting a while for a new Zino if not for your progress update which made me try again.
@Ailsa
Hubsan do need to get their act together regarding support, I noticed you seem to be the only employee providing support.
Waiting a day per message for support on a 400 euro drone is really not acceptable.
While my issue appears to be sorted, its left a really bad impression.
I had been telling all my friends for some time about Hubsan to try boost a small company.
I've owned other Hubsan devices and never previously experienced issues, after this I would not recommend Hubsan to anybody ever again without knowing decent support can be provided.
I had been unaware of how bad it was.
Though you do have a tough job being the only person doing it, I am not saying its your fault at all. Do suggest to your manager another employee be hired even part time though.
(Surely it will mean less stress for you too.)
Hope that improves.
Kind regards

Good to know that also! I did not reinstall the app though..

Re: After update, Zino will not pair to controller or show network
Maybe the Zino's firmware hides the SSID intentionally, so that no one else sees the Zino's WiFi with their WiFi devices?
Just speculating. But it could even be that the SSID of the Zino is being hidden after one WiFi client has connected. If the first client that connects is someone's smartphone (some users have been mentioning they connect their smartphones via the smartphone's own WiFi manager to the Zino, which I think they really shouldn't do), then the SSID might be hidden and hence the controller (via the X-Hubsan app) can't see the WiFi of the Zino.
Again, just speculating. I don't have a Zino yet, so can't test this.

All problems solved then, a good day for both
