Zino nearly hit my roof
Flew my zino for the first time. Did all the calibrations and it said success...
I flew a while. Tested its max altitude (Which is set to 500m)
Let me tell you one thing; I am never getting this drone up there ever again!!! It was such a bad experience...The gimbal stopped working and the quad was not very stable in the air. At one point the horizon was like 45 degrees tilted!
At that moment I decided to take it down. I did that manually.
Once around homepoint I wanted to see RTH accuraccy. I pressed RTH button and it started doing weird stuff and toilet bowling.
Nearly hit my roof like that!
This is unacceptable. If it would have hit my roof that would be instant RIP and all that money thrown away.
I have it on recording btw:
Also, very weird, was very uncontrollable...Couldnt even land it properly, as you can see...
Other things I noticed:
- This lens is NOT focussed to infinity. You can clearly see the roof is in focus and the background has like this very little blur! I see many zino have this...
- Why are the pictures so compressed? Why is the video so compressed? Higher bitrate please?
- Range is less than their old H501S, can this be improved later? Is it possible to higher the ouput power of the tx?

Wow, you were very lucky that you didn't loose the connection to the Zino while it was on the opposite side of your house.

Calibrate it properly in an open area not near the house. Try to fly it in open area. Have you updated it to latest firmware. I was having toilet bowl effect and with good caliberation it resolved.
Video i agree the focus is not infinity. Hopefully hubsan team can help with it.

Hello,
First, we do not fly in the city and near homes or cars that generate a lot of disruptive wifi signals, especially for a first novice flight.
Then, it will update your ZINO with the latest firmware that regulates a lot of stability concerns.
But especially .... goes in the countryside, the fields !!
Good flight

Re: Zino nearly hit my roof
For the person calling me novice:
I am not novice, I fly 4 planes ( ZOHD dart XL, Ranger 2400 &2000, nano talon) and have 4 quadcopters (racing drone, uruav ur65, mi drone 4k and Zino).
I have had no issues flying here. And that is no excuse for a drone to react that way when enabling RTH.
I calibrated the compass in the garden. Do so for my mi drone aswell, and no issues with that one.
I am still in stock firmware, will update later today.
Video focus cannot be fixed in software, this will be something we have to live with.

Re: Zino nearly hit my roof
Ailsa suggested lot times to update firmwares whit latest ones, if you ok not novice but still keept the Zino stock, well. Stability problem was noticed whit first stock built-in firmware. I do not received yet the Zino but first to flight firmware updates i made

Excuse me if I hurt you, I meant novice with the ZINO, which is a bit brutal indeed
