You may be able to use a pair of needle nose pliers or tweezers to pull that pin up. It was probably pushed down by fitting the 5.8g antenna on that connector. Te pin should not push down but in defective connectors it will.sp0oner wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 4:45 amThanks yes that is what I posted above in that i'd found the issue. If it's as simple and as cheap as just replacing that I will be very happy!justjarhead wrote: ↑Sat Aug 11, 2018 5:55 pmThe connector on the transmitter should have a pin for the 2.4GHZ antenna.

Re: H109S help needed please
Thanks but there is nothing in there to get a grip on it's well and truly out of reach and will need replacing. It's been like it since I got it as i've never removed the antenna since having it. The ost frustrating thing is waiting for the parts from ebay as it will be about 10 days

Re: H109S help needed please
Since you have to open up the controller to change out the antenna connector you might be able to push up the pin from the back of the connector. I did this to connectors in the past for a temporary fix.''
Who knows you might get lucky.

Hmm i've just taken a closer look at the pics on the ebay items selling the antenna cables and antenna and noticed the antennas are both male connectors and cable connectors female connectors so I won't be able to use the original antenna and be forced to use the one that comes in the kit. I've no idea if that's going to be as good/powerful as the original one.

The 5.8g antenna will be the same connector and the 2.4g should be as good or better since the are simple dipole antenna. Look at it this way, they will be better than what you have now.justjarhead wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 6:12 pmsend me the linksp0oner wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 6:00 pmHmm i've just taken a closer look at the pics on the ebay items selling the antenna cables and antenna and noticed the antennas are both male connectors and cable connectors female connectors so I won't be able to use the original antenna and be forced to use the one that comes in the kit. I've just found this which suggests the range issue i've been experiencing is a common issue and it's the pig tail cables that need replacing:

Re: H109S help needed please
I just wanted to update this thread as I couldn't get into the forum for the last week. Having received the new pigtails and antenna pack I bought and changed them over on the handset my issues seem to be resolved!
I managed 400m horizontal with maximum signal and 120m vertical with no loss of signal. I am very pleased my 109S is now capable of what it should be. The guys over on the facebook page for the H109S were very helpful with getting me the right pack to order off ebay and with fitting instructions.
Thank you to those on here for the help and Ailsa for explaining the RSSI mode so I could check signal strength.
