Re: H109S help needed please
Hello,
I noticed that the 2.4G number shows value 000 when the dist is 190 meters.would you mind to exchange the 2.4G antenna and 5.8G antenna and enter into the test mode to judge if it is the issue of the 2.4G antenna ?Thanks

Hi Ailsa thank you for your reply. When you say exchange them do you mean try new ones? I don't have any spare antennas.Hubsan-Ailsa wrote: ↑Fri Aug 10, 2018 4:45 amHello,

OK thanks for clarifying, I thought RTH would bring it all the way home on a lost signal. Yes it would make sense if it was the 2.4 antenna. It seems to get varying results based on the angle it's pointing at, yesterday I think it was 90 degrees to the controller as it should be but 45 degrees to the side instead of pointing straight upwards.justjarhead wrote: ↑Thu Aug 09, 2018 9:28 pmWhen RTH is initiated by lost control signal it will continue to RTH until Quad gets a good control signal again terminating the lost connection failsafe.
To me the problem seems to be the controller tx output possibly being either a bad 2.4g antenna, a bad connection to the antenna or a transmit problem in controller. I say this partly because you say telemetry received is ok at point of failure so the 109S is transmitting telemetry fine while it looked like TX rssi was low.
However thinking more about it as the video signal is also breaking up as well as loss of control of the drone would it be more likely to be the antenna on the drone that is faulty?

Would you mind to try to install the 5.8G antenna on the position of the 2.4G antenna.so you can judge if there has issue with the 2.4G antenna.
Re: H109S help needed please
OK thanks for confirming I did wonder if that is what you meant. I will swap them over and try again and report back with more photos.Hubsan-Ailsa wrote: ↑Fri Aug 10, 2018 7:48 amWould you mind to try to install the 5.8G antenna on the position of the 2.4G antenna.so you can judge if there has issue with the 2.4G antenna.
Re: H109S help needed please
It's been raining here all day today so unable to test but I will hopefully be able to tomorrow.
Re: H109S help needed please
OK I think i've found the issue! The 2.4 antenna is a female connector so the pin should be in the 2.4 bolt in the top of the handset however there is no pin!!!
Please tell me that antenna bolt on the handset can be replaced?!

The connector on the transmitter should have a pin for the 2.4GHZ antenna.
Re: H109S help needed please
Looks like the pin has broken off or pushed in. The good news is it's a cheap and easy fix with a mini-pci to rp-sma pigtail. Not sure of the length you need but this should work: https://www.amazon.com/U-FL-RP-SMA-Pigtail-Antenna-Cable/dp/B005UWD0EG
Good luck!

Thanks yes that is what I posted above in that i'd found the issue. If it's as simple and as cheap as just replacing that I will be very happy!justjarhead wrote: ↑Sat Aug 11, 2018 5:55 pmThe connector on the transmitter should have a pin for the 2.4GHZ antenna.
