3 red lights flashing battery charger

Zino battery problem
It is my first battery charge...
After waiting several hours as recommended, the battery charger LEDs never went green
but they started flashing red.
So I unplugged the charger and tested the cells.
They said 3.77 for the first, 4.36 for the second and 4.34 for the third, so I think the first cell is HS.
Do you think the battery is defective or can I recover the cell that is not charged?

I don’t know but I would put the battery on a balance charger but to do that you would need to do the charging cord mod and have a balance charger that charges LiPo high voltage batteries (LiHV) but that might void your warranty???

It's not necessarily a defective battery. Could also be a defective charger.

Have you already flown the Zino with this battery or was you first charge with the battery as it came out of the box?

3.77 V sounds like what could be a out-of-the-box voltage for a brand new Zino battery, as that is approximately a half charge (good for storage).

Do you only have this one battery at hand and only this one 3S LiPo charger?

If you don't have any other batteries or charger at hand, then perhaps one test you could do would be the following:
- check the 3 cell voltages again.
- put the battery in the Zino and drain the battery a bit, either by just letting it sit in powered ON state for a longer time with the motors OFF or, if you dare, by hovering the Zino at a low altitude.
- measure the 3 cells again. Suppose the voltages were something like this now, for example: 3.5 V, 4.1 V, 4.1 V
- charge the battery again until the three LEDs start flashing.
- measure the cells again. If the first cell was to have remained around 3.5 V, while the other two cells were charged back to about 4.35 V, then I would say the charger is defective. If the first cell was to have charged up by a noticeable amount too, then report back the voltage you've got.

Weather is better tomorrow in France ,it will be my first flight,i see the voltage then.
