Re: Pre-ordered 10/3/18

Re: Pre-ordered 10/3/18
Central Queensland, Australia here. Has anyone received their Zino yet? Any news from the supplier?
I emailed a general enquiry Nov 12, 2018:
Hello.
I am in Australia and looking at your website
https://www.hubsan.com/na/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=%2079%20&products_id=921
I wish to formally confirm that the price I will pay via PayPal for the Hubsan Zino with spare battery is $561.51 (Au).
Also, when would be the expected delivery date if ordered same day as your reply?
Can you please confirm?
If yes, then I will proceed with the order.
Many thanks.
Hubsan replied with this...
Hi Ken,
Sorry for the delay in my reply
The charge AU$561.51 is the charge for the drone with extra battery
But if you choose this version ,the only way to ship them out is to ship them by express
So you may have to pay for the extra charge(US$30) to ship by express ,equal to AU$41.6
Thanks
Best Regards
Hubsan mall
Wish a happy shopping
Now I ask this:
Thank you for your email.
I am concerned about the feedback on your forum regarding the delivery times for this product. Some customers claim they have been waiting for a long time for their purchase. Can you please confirm the expected delivery period? I will be choosing express post.
I am sure you can understand my concern and hesitation given the negative feedback on the Forum page. $605 (Au) is a substantial amount and I am fearful of not receiving my purchase in good condition and in the time frame assured. I am not aware of the reasons for their complaints but customer service is a critical factor in my decision to purchase. I will be far more likely to complete my purchase for the Hubsan Zino if these concerns are eliminated.
I am a professional researcher and have invested the past three months into researching the best drone on the market. If we can complete this transaction and item arrives well I am happy to write an extensive review for your customers. I am not a highly-experienced drone operator, but I am widely respected in academic fields and may promote further sales in this area.
Looking forward to reading your response prior to order.
Regards,
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
What are your thoughts?

Re: Pre-ordered 10/3/18
...and I am mindful that the items are shipped from China. It may be that the supplier ships in bulk, once per month, or when a threshold is reached that makes it economically viable to ship in bulk. One-off items are expensive to ship internationally. So, it may be that a month or six weeks is a fair time to wait. And... if the Zino is really as good as the reviews I watched on YouTube and read all over the internet then it should be worth the wait.
And...thank you all for your comments here. I am new to the hobby with a couple of toy drones to practice with so I am learning what to expect. So far I have used my drones to prune my mother's roses (Just the flowers, not the bushes - too strong for the props), harass some local birds, annoy the neighbor's dog and harass a pesky cat that keeps scenting on my front walkway. So, toy drones have their valuable uses too.
Cheers and good luck.

Re: Pre-ordered 10/3/18
I'm from Australia but haven't been charged extra for shipping. I ordered the drone with an extra battery too. There were two options. One for express and the other for standard shipping. The standard was free, the express that amount you've mentioned. I ordered on the 31st october - two weeks ago sigh!
Btw doc (Im assuming you're a doctor) couldn't you just buy a more expensive drone. A mavic etc.

Re: Pre-ordered 10/3/18
Cheers Mavros,
Yes I am a Dr via research (PhD). I am not spending big for a couple of reasons.... (1) I am still learning to fly these drones. I am prone to hitting upright things, but I am ready for a good visual record of my trips and travels. (2) DJI don't need my support. They are doing well without my business. By supporting Hubsan I might be able to help them improve their software or other products. If people don't buy, they don't improve. Also, I am a cheapshit single Dad with two teenage kids with high social demands. If I am going to break a good drone I don't want it to cost me my remaining arm to replace it. Good question though. Thanks.

Just found this page on the official Hubsan site
https://www.hubsan.com/support/index/index/help.html
where it explains shipping and to track your package on UPS.com. Hope this helps those of you waiting for your item.
Cheers.
