I happened to have a camera bag I bought at a flea market that fits everything perfectly.
Holds the Zino, transmitter, four batteries, charger and cables with room for phone, manual, and extras.
Look around for a similar bag for 35mm camera.
Paid ten bucks.
I really like your solution, simple, effective, light. would you have the interior dimensions?

I use an Ambico case exactly like this for both my Mavic 2 and my Zino. Another advantage to this type of case is that it's just a camera bag. I've never been questioned or hassled about it when flying, or going through security at the airport. I found the one for my Zino on eBay for about $12. The one I use for my Mavic 2 is an identical case that I bought 20 years ago for a video camera!

Zino will fit in a generic hand gun case from Academy Sports store...the brand is Plano and the model is protector. It cost $14.99. Here is a pic. Hopefully this will help those of you outside the United States to go find the brand in your favorite Sports and outdoor store.
Also check out the DJI reflectors that I got (knock offs) and they fit perfectly. I haven't used them yet in flight.
Oh my... Zino is a folding drone, with folding arms... Hubsan made a big effort to design a drone with that features and I strongly appreciate them. Sorry, I don't think your case is a good idea. That's right for H501s and similar models... I mean, you can find more compact cases for Zino, why not close the arms?

It's for longevity...there are only a certain number of folding cycles in a given joint before the joint gives way and the wires in the joint are damaged. This is my way to keep my Zino flying longer and more trouble free but I fully understand those that want a small footprint to backpack it around. At least we have both options to keep us both happy. So my idea is a great idea...it's just not your preference ;)

I think (and hope) the life of the joints will be greater than the life of the drone, but ok friend, enjoy your Zino! 👍😉

I found a used Pelican case at a yard sale. I have had to improvise on the interior foam because much was already missing but it will work fine without being pretty. I was considering one of those plastic cases from Harbor Freight at first.
Life truly is short and can change in a heartbeat!

I use a kids cooler lunchbox for 5 bucks from big w. It has 2 compartments, one smaller one for the controller and the other larger one that fits the drone and the spare battery. It's insulated which means padding.
