Sun shade for the Zino controller

Post by thesoundsmith » Thu Jan 17, 2019 2:33 am

Does anyone have a source for a sun shade that would adapt to the Zino controller?

You don't get sunshades for the controller you get them for the phone :)

They make them in different sizes depending on phone screen size :)

Thanks. Will that DJI style shade work? The shade would be in the way of the controller

As I said it is for the phone has nothing to do with the controller. DJI or otherwise, the one I use is by PGYTECH similar to the one I posted from Amazon, but you be the judge?

Thanks greatly for the follow-up. I see that it works for you. Great, and I appreciate that you are comfortable with it. But I would find it clumsy to have the screen in the way of my hands on the controller. i have ordered a pair of parabolic antenna extensions, and I will try to create something that covers the whole rig. If I succeed, I'll post the setup, for now, I'll keep this in mind.

Again, thanks for the info. I am still very stupid in the world of RC, so it may take a few slaps upside the head to get it through my thick skull.

Update: I saw several folks using the shades like this, so I ordered one to try. Thanks again.

Follow-update - the shade (size 111mm) works perfectly, but the screen is too small for me to see what I need most - range and yaw data. And it feels clumsy as hell holding like that. I will be looking for a way to front-mount a larger screen.

But if you, the reader, are comfortable with this setup, the shade is good quality.
