Zino Flight Log, GPS and disconnection

Post by ge_8efac33d06 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 4:02 pm

:?:
All updates done but running FC version FC-V1.0.43. Android Samsung Note 4. Compass calibrated on every flight. Camera works fantastic. Battery life close to 18 mins at 25% charge remaining in windy conditions.

I have had a relatively good experience with my Zino so far. I would like to point out the issues I've had so far and invite comments.

1. The GPS accuracy test always fails and as a result, I cannot do the automated modes like follow me, orbit, line follow etc.

2. I loose connection with the Zino some times for a short time (~10 seconds) flying within LOS and in an open park and then the zino does some weird stuff flying high speed in a random direction and not responding to stick commands..very scary. This has happened at least once in every flight. I fly in low interference areas.

3. I have attached my flight log and it says "No GPS Signal". Perhaps someone can enlighten me to what this means - Is this reporting a temporary loss of GPS signal?. RTH and altitude hold works normally.

4. Yaw and gimbal movement is not smooth. You need this for video work.

5. Change log in updates is not comprehensive for every version and needs to be updated every time there is a new update.

I realize this is a work in progress and wait for solutions from users and Hubsan patiently.

Yes, location is turned on. I did notice that when conducting the GPS accuracy test, its constantly showing 0 meters on the screen as the difference between aircraft and phone locations and is not changing. It then reports "The GPS accuracy is not good enough...". I have done the test many times and it always fails

I think the No GPS refers to location. I mean, I have two phones and one has cell phone service and the other does not. Both have GPS enabled. On the one with no cell phone service (no internet) all flight logs say No GPS. On the one with cell phone service, it names the location.

No cell phone service

I also had mine drift away for about 5 seconds today over the ocean. I had the throttle full forward, but it drifted left until it started responding.
VERY SCARY

Very similar to my experience. See this video starting at 9.00 and you can see the out of control behavior.

That is beginning to make sense. I do have cell service on my phone but cell data is off. Actually I m beginning to wonder id I need to have cell data on to do the GPS accuracy test.

You need cell data only for maps if you have not saved an offline map, which I recommend that you do. In my experience with phone GPS, turn OFF Google locating services as it corrupts what you get from the GPS unit itself.

Worth to mention that with both phones GPS Accuracy test passes just fine. I have a Galaxy S5 and a S7 Active with Android app v1.6.3 and the Zino with v1.0.44 firmware.

Hello, it happened to me yesterday for the first time, and when I saw the flight sheet, I thought if I had pressed the button back home, I would not. Without on the other hand I have flown and I have not seen any signal of no gps in the mobile and the drone if it is certain that when turning I lost some height. It is the first time that happens to me and I always connect it in the same way. I also want to highlight that I flew with Android 8.0 mobile, samsung s7 plus edge and in the same flight zone without wind, or high voltage towers, etc. and another fact is that the maximum time is 17 minutes and I say this because when I see 30% battery I bring it to me and when I see 25% I land. And the last curiosity is the charger, and it has happened to me 2 alternate times that marks the 3 green lights and then on the screen it is only 80%. Could you set in gps mode to be smoother in all aspects? It's simple information that I share so you can improve the hubsan team. I know that Zino is a baby, but he must grow up with people who help him on his way day by day.

I had not noticed but the first two flights also appear no GPS and I always hope to have more than 10 satellites.
