H501S X4 Not prompting to calibrate
H501S X4 Not prompting to calibrate
My son got his drone for christmas. we watched several videos on how to get started. but when we turn the remote on, it won't ask to calibrate. the remote is working fine, the drone signals that it's ready, but it never asks to start the calibration process. pls help! thx!

Re: H501S X4 Not prompting to calibrate
This EXACT same this is happening to my son’s H501S X4 which he received for Christmas. It is driving me nuts. I can’t find an answer for this anywhere online.
I also need help ASAP! We can’t get the done off the ground!

I got a H501 for Christmas and it's not asking for calibration either. I was reading in another forum that the newest firmware does an automatical compass calibration and you don;t need to calibrate for every flight. Don;t trust me though as I'm new and I'd wait for the official word

Thought it was just me. Mine does (doesn't do ) the same thing. I have charged the batteries, did the rebind procedure, and still no compass calibration screen.
Re: H501S X4 Not prompting to calibrate
Hi all:
I just ordered a H501S too (standard transmitter) and did note on the FPV site that they no longer require compass calibration apparently. The store from ebay where I''m getting mine also said the same. I would assume then, that they are ready to fly once powered up but not absolutely sure if there is nothing else that needs to be done. It would be nice if the manuals would reflect these changes.
Did you guys get standard or pro transmitter? I deliberated and even though the price difference was quite small, figured I'd never really need the extra range especially when you're supposed to keep drone in sight in USA.
