I also do not have issues with android app. The app crashed twice after first update but never since then. Drone connects quickly with the app. Drone is steady now and no TB etc. Only issue I have now is pink flashes when recording videos, poor pic quality. Also with one flight drone lost connection at 190 meters , but never happened before. I will have to test it again to see if it maintains steady connection.

Unlike iPhone which is one hardware tree and one operating system controlled by Apple. Android is supported on multiple hardware platforms with an open source OS based on the Linux Kernel with the mobile services developed by Google. It is highly customisable and many manufacturers fork their own ports.

I have two Android devices one connects no problem with the Zino the other does not. I suspect on the one that does not it has an older revision of the 5G Wifi module as I have found in the past it cannot see some 5G networks but can others. The other problem I have seen is people running multiple apps when using their Android phone like screen video recording etc... on phones that may not be powerful enough for all the demands being placed on the CPU. I still feel that a lot of the connections issues is down to the 5G hardware/driver versions of the individual phone.

I use a Oneplus 5 (Android 8.1) as the FPV screen for my Zino.

Use to have trouble connecting the app to the drone until i realize the trick:
Open the Zino app, and enter main interface first before connecting the USB cable.

If i connect the USB cable to my phone before starting the app, it will simply not detect or connect. For android users experiencing problems, do try it out :P You may need to restart your phone to clear out the old faulty settings first.

I Use a "dedicated"phone. An LG G8 that I dropped and cracked the screen. No one wants to fix LG screens,so it is used for my quad. Strangely, the cracked screen does not interfere with the app.

RCSaylors got their Zino quite early for trials. It could have pre-consumer release firmware. For end consumers, the current stock firmware for remote is the latest, no updates required.
