Hi

Recently purchased a Hubsan 501A x4 Air Pro.

Bought a card reader so I could directly download from micro sd card to iphone, but phone doesn't pick up photos or videos from card. Can insert sd card in to laptop (Windows) and it reads pics/ videos fine. Is it because of the file format on the card that IOS cant read? Is there a way round this? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
John

Can you read any files on the SD card on your Iphone card reader? It should be able to read fat32 partition and .jpg and .mp4 files are also native to iphone. I suspect you may have a card reader issue. Can your iphone write files to the card reader sd card?

Thanks Justjarhead,

the card reader will read files formatted from camera, but not from Hubsan.

Reading on another forum, apparently files have got to be saved in a certain format to be read by IOS and there has to be a drive named DCIM on the reader? The files from the Hubsan read perfectly on laptop and as previously, crd reader reads other camera files no problem.

IOS does expect pictures to be in a folder called DCIM and from what I remember will only read MP4 and JPG files from that folder.

If it sees the folders on the card it is not a format issue. I can't test for you since I don't have an adapter for my Iphone to read SD cards.

With SD card connected to PC, create a DCIM folder and move or copy the files from the Pictures folder created by the H501 into the DCIM folder and see what happens.

If worse comes to worse you can email them to your phone or use messaging to get them there.
