I lost my Copter 501a shortly after the start. Start was OK, flight a short time as well.
Then suddenly the drone was no longer controllable.
The headless mode had failed at a distance of about 300 meters and 63 meters in height
and the copter was no longer controllable. He flew up and away.

Conclusion:
The stability of the satellite reception of the copter is not good (Transmitter 11 satellites, Copter less than 8 satellites)!
The automatic return function did not work!
The copter may also have lost the binding due to the distance or the crash.
A lasting bond, with again finding within reach would be desirable.
The copter is no longer findable, very bad!

Hi Juergen, may I know where did you fly?and did the drone pick up 6 satellites or more before take off? Finally,Have you tried to find the drone by the GPS coordinate showed on the LCD?

Hello Ailsa, today can answer now:
I flew about at wind force 2 - 3 Bft on a meadow. The sky was slightly cloudy.
The copter had initially found 10 satellites. I could start and fly.
Then suddenly, it drifts off and becomes uncontrollable and flies away.
A photo of the coordinates I have attached.

Good looking if there would be at Hubsan for the loss a good price for the Copter 501a individually also without accessories to reorder.
Best regards Juergen

Hello Bellinus,

I saw there is 0 GPS satellites for the drone showed on the LCD.which might be a reason for the drone lost.

Did you fly the drone in a open flat place?

Hello Alisa,

The reason is most likely that Hubsan has a problem with maintaining the GPS signal on the copter.

When the sky was slightly cloudy, I had 11 satellites on the transmitter and when the copter suddenly flew away I had 0 satelites on the transmitter screen for the Copter.

It will be impossible to find it back!

So Hubsan - check and rework!
