H501A & HT011A No wifi LED on transmitter, unable to connect over wifi relay option

Post by devoni » Mon Oct 15, 2018 2:18 am

Hi,
My H501A with HT011A drone/transmitter is 2 days old and was working fine for the first day.
Suddenly on the second day (without any incidents in between!) the H011A blue wifi LED is not lighting up anymore (not on startup, no blinking, nothing).
After a X-Hubsan app update to version 3.6.4, I am also unable to connect the X-Hubsan app with the drone using the "Setup the relay connection to aircraft" option. This setting is stil to be found under settings > Relay > "setup the relay connection to aircraft", but pointing this option is not showing the next required selection screen.... nothing seems to happen....
Although I made a succesful wifi connection using the iPhone (use its wifi-settings) and selecting the HT011A to pair with. Also the HT011A and H501A are succesfully connected over 2,4GHz.
In other words I seem to be unable to connect the app with the drone using the wifi relay function over the HT011A. The FPV image is still send to the iPhone and the drone can still be controlled using the 2,4GHz connectiong between the HT011A and H501A.

Update,

Using an iPad with X-Hubsan 3.6.3 did not give this problem. I.e. the wifi relay function was still available and functiined properly!
I supposr it must be a bug in v3.6.4.
The wifi LED on my HT011A transmitter is still not illuminating, but the 2.4GHz LED is extinguishing. I think the blue wifi LED on my HT011A must be faulty after 1 day of using the drone.

I am having the same problem with my son's h216a. It actually flew great this morning through an iphone 5s and ht011a transmitter. After I plugged the phone in to charge, it updated automatically and now it won't work. WiFi light just blinks, controls get lost and cause it to crash. Still works through my samsung android phone so I can say it definitely appears to be the latest ios app software. Hope they get it fixed soon.

same here: iphone 5s software 12.0.1 with xhubsan 3.6.3 worked fine. Xhubsan 3.6.4 is no good.

iphone 6s software version 11.1.1 with xhubsan 3.6.4 works fine.

Seems iphone 12 and xhubsan 3.6.4 are incompatible. Going to be a lot of disappointed Zino people when their $400 drones crash because the app doesn't work.

I searched all over Google and could not find a way to revert back to a previous app version. Hubsan does have an update to the app 3.6.6 that is supposed to fix our issues. Anyone try it yet??? I will try it out as soon as I get a chance and post back. Thank you Hubsan for listening and working to correct the problems.

App version 3.6.6 for the ios seems to be working well. I had a few minutes and a partially charged battery so I tried the updated version. The h216a was very responsive with the ht011a and did not drop the signal at all. Wifi light remained lit during the test. I did not have a chance to try all of the features but so far all is good. Thanks Hubsan for the fix.

Thank you Hubsan for the IOS upgrade version 3.6.6, I was able to pare the H501A to HT011A transmitter on WiFi using my iPhone 8, I will test it tomorrow and let you know how it flies, thank you Hubsan for taking care of this issue.
