Hubsan H501M

Post by 15028130810960F » Thu Sep 20, 2018 9:08 am

Hey. For several months now I have owned this copter. All this time no one can solve the problem of spiral rotation, leading to an accident. All over the world, many owners of these copter with such a malfunction and many are already refusing to purchase goods named Hubsan because of this marriage. The program for Android is not completely finished and crashes on many points. It does not correctly consider the statistics of flights, does not allow you to work with video and photo files, the translation into Russian is not fully implemented, the height is limited, the modes of flying around the point of interest are confused and follow me. Video recording is worse than in the similar resolution of H507A. The copter itself often begins to spin along the left spiral. These problems have been repeatedly mentioned in the forum https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2970521-Hubsan-H501M-X4-Waypoint-WiFi-FPV-Brushless-GPS-With-720P-HD-Camera- RC-Drone-Quadcopt / page17. We ask you to solve the problem with this model, which spoils reviews about your products and give recommendations on a possible solution.

Have you performed rotational calibration?

On other Hubsan UQads this is done by holding left stick up and wiggling right stick up and down vertically. The H501M should be on a level surface ( turntable from a microwave works great or a piece of flat paper to rotate the H501M on. You want to keep th quad in same relative circle while doing this.

Without lifting the drone, keeping it flat rotate it until all lights turn into solid color, then wait for lights to blink again. If the lights do not return to blinking status retry the procedure. This solved issue on my H501A that drifted all over the place. When the lights blink normally you should be ready for a test flight.

I hope this helps

Thank you for such detailed instructions. This calibration is not carried out. There is a separate line in the menu, horizontal calibration-it was done.

This model is not finished by the manufacturer. A lot of people talk about spontaneous movements in a spiral. There are people who have this model lost control on its own and flew away to an unknown destination and was lost.
This is a failure and loss of reputation for Hubsan.

having produced model 501m Hubsan I have killed the reputation. The model with everything is attracted by both the price and characteristics and advertizing. Only 501m doesnt fly. Flies but more true not as we want it and as itself wants. From 10 take-off only one successful. The compass isnt calibrated. flies around increasing radius. The firm has no support. It is the worst model at hubsan.

I wish I could say the 501M was the only one with problems but I have foundthe same things on my H501S and H501A. I got so tired of the support double talk and lies a week ago I hung up on one of their techs over a warranty part they sent me that blew up and smoked 10 minutes after I installed. You name the piece of equipment it gonan give you some problem. They claimed the warranty Part (Flight control board) that it would remain under warranty if installed correctly but since it smoked it was most likely my fault. SO I de-installed the new one, put in old on and fixed old one. Their service group tries but just isn't trained well enough and I don't know how good their techs are but their QC is horrendous. Antennas installed incorrectly, connections H901A to it 5.8g antenna (receiver) comes off, Poor GPS performance from H901a Receiver) The list goes on and some users just accept it.

I have experienced a lot and it is subpar at best compared to my $80 SkyViper in the flight characteristic world.

That's good. There are copters, but there is no support. Where are the firm's representatives? What they say?
