I will repeat myself again one last time

Modding tools do not work with FC 1.1.46 at this time.

He is using an earlier version of FC firmware where modding tool is not blocked.

You also cannot downgrade firmware from FC 1.1.46 to a earlier version because V1 & V3 upgrade tools do not function either.

I just got a working modding tool.official hubsan.

to my amazement. the safe altitude was set to only 10 meters.so glad I didn't test the RTH yet,as i'm in a neighborhood full of trees, and 2 story homes.

no doubt 10 meters would have cleared all the houses.as there's nothing taller than 2 floors. but then again with the high pitched roofs and deviations in calibrations.

fixed that set to 35 meters, for right now.

I also set speed tp 8 m/s from 5m/s.

the fence unbelievably was turned off. kudos to hubsan for that one.

What is the Firmware Version you are upgrading / modding. Neither method works for me and I am not downloading a new vwersion of firmware to my FC board. It is at latest so the method you suggest can cause loss of flight.

Happy Flying
You can also try duel batteries with carbon fiber or star props.
I have even used turbo cone props which save battery increase thrust and give
you a smoother flight.
And the last DIY which you should do always is to spend a few minutes and balance
you prop blades and prop shaft area where the blade attach this will reduce wear on
motors/shafts and then armatures stop the horrible jelloing and increase flight time
because of less stress on motors
I tried Mavic pro quiet props with a little modification to make them fit , they were a lot quieter but flight time went down to 12 minutes so I took them off again , please give me a link to these turbo cone props you mentioned
Thanks

If you look at the bottom of the tool it does not support FC 1.1.46 :D

So you cannot open the FC 1.1.46 hbs files , mod it and save.

SInce the tools basically flashes the EEPROM you can't load a compatibel FC version, change parameters and flash because when you reload FC 1.1.46 you over write the EEPROM. SO there is now way around for now.

Duplicate answer but I thought I would post anyway.

The mod tool cannot open the FC1.1.46 hbs file. It does not recognize it based on the version list on the bottom of the tool.

If you mod an older FC version and update you can save to an H501A but once you use the H501A Upgrade tool to reload FC 1.1.46 you overwrite the contents of the whole EEPROM so the changes made to a version the Mod tool understands are gone.

It will work I am using it the whole key to this mod is that you have to set the parameters to 0 in the height
and fence box. Give it a try but keep your finger on the RTH switch the first couple of times. You tend to forget how far
or high you've gone. Also remember 2 things at altitude wind variance are different than most apps give info for and the possibility
of push or shear exists, the other is that at distance your movements are doubled vs when the bird is close to you. (2 feet is 4 feet or use your right hand mirror for example things appear closer)
HAPPY FLYING and remember FAA has 400 foot SFC restriction so be careful if within 5 miles of active air space
