H501A and HT011A flight setup.

Can the H501A and HT011A controller be setup so the H501A is binded to the 2.4G portion of the controller and the WiFi portion of the controller hooked up to the integrated relay of the controller. In this config you would get the range of the 2.4G connection and the FPV thru the relay.

I assume you would connect the smartphone to the relay of the HT011A and connect the APP to theH501A Wifi connection. Will this work and not override the 2.4G bind?

I assume you may loose waypoint capability in the APP?

I have looked at numerous YouTube videos and read Hubsan manual re: the HT011A and this is not 100% clear.

Hello,If connect the smartphone to the relay of the HT011A and connect the APP to theH501A Wifi connection, the 2.4G on the HT011A will disconnect automatically.which support Waypoint.
If the Wifi signal disconnect ,then the 2.4G on the HT011A will connect the drone.which not support the Waypoint.

Thanks for the info.

So if you use the 2.4G of the HT011A then you cannot use WiFi and vice versa. Bummer. :o :o :o :o :o

If WiFi connection is lost in flight for more than 3 seconds will controller and H501A revert to 2.4G. That would be a great failsafe if binding was done between the H501A and the HT011A before flight. :? :?

Well this was answered tonight in my flyaway nightmare. The answer is no if the HT011A loses connection in WiFi mode you are in trouble. It does not revert to the 2.4G bind. Lost connection RTH tries to occur (sometimes) but if drone is out at 100 meters and RTH is in progress and connection and then re-connects and is lost again your back in flyaway hell. Each time the HT011A loses WiFi connection it will attempt to re-establish WiFi connection which it can & will do. (See my post H501A & HT011a Flyaway Nightmare for more info).

Each time the WiFi connection is lost, the drone starts flying away. RTH on lost connection is not rock solid as a failsafe. :x
