H216a won't fly
I recently purchased a H216A. I own other drones so am an experienced operator. Tried to fly it yesterday for the first time and couldn't get off the ground. During the calibration process, it takes quite a while for the vertical calibration and the GPS accuracy test fails every time. It says that the phone is 30 to 40 meters away when I have it right next to the drone. Drone indicates 11 satellites. Phone indicates between 10 and 15. When I try to take off, manually or using auto take-off, it lifts barely off the ground and immediately flips over to the right, onto it's top. All motors seem to be operating normally and start at the same time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app X-Hubsan several times and unplugged and plugged the drone battery several times. Is there anything else I can try? Or do I have a bad drone?

You mean the GPS accuracy test fails every time.so you can't start the motor.Try to move the phone to get better GPS accuracy.

It always fails. The drone always has 10 or 11 satellites, and the phone has between 10 and 15. I put the phone less then a foot from the drone. The motors start, but when it tries to take off, it flips over to the right, and ends up on the top.

For the H216A,did you try to do the horizontal calibration which quoted in the user manual
Tap the setting cog, followed by "other",select"Horizontal calibration" and allow the aircraft to calibrate itself.Calibration is complete when all 4 LED indicators stop flashing. It is recommended that users wait for 15-20 seconds after the calibration is completed before flying again.

Re: H216a won't fly
I have calibrated it every time, I tried it again today. It takes a long time to calibrate it vertically. When done I went into settings and did it the way you said, said calibration complete. Tried the GPS test and it failed again, like always. Tried to take off holding it in my hand. It said it was not calibrated horizontally, so I put it on a level surface and hit ok. It said it was complete. Hit auto take off, still in my hand. The motors started and it tried to tip out of my hand to the right. I held on to it and it then tried to tip out of my hand to the left. After that it did the same thing frontwards and than backwards. What next???

Hi,
İ experienced the gps test problem too. Even tough i am 1m away to drone, app says i am 1km away. İ can see i m near the drone also from app map. But when testing gps, app say i m 1km away. And cant use waypoint etc.
