Can anyone confirm without a doubt that the new GPS watch will work with all functions necessary (follow/Circle me)etc. with the H109S?

Hi Tapper,

This is Vivian from Hubsan. I can confirm that it does have compatibility with H109S and will function with available H109S Features.
Currently H109S does not have follow me mode or orbit mode.

So you are confirming that it “WILL NOT” work for Follow me, Circle me, return to me, auto takeoff and auto land?

Ok, tell me if this is correct. The functions are codes that are embedded in the RC firmware. Ie Orbit, Follow me, RTH etc. As such any Tx which can connect has the ability to force the command to execute said function! Therefore since the H109s was never written the codes for Orbit etc then the GPS watch would send a command for a function that cannot be accomplished?

However, the GPS watch has compatible hardware with the H109s so it can connect and be used to make the drone climb, descend, turn etc?

The H109S indeed doesn't have those functions in its software, therefor the mentionned functions like follow me mode will not work!

However, if hubsan ever decides to, they can always add this capability through a software update.

That is my thinking as well, but seems the “Golden Child” H109s has become the Black Sheep and has lost all support. Why wouldn’t you have Photo/Video only processes on your best Camera drone? Me thinks the fall behind to Mavic style video drones has caused a rerouting or manpower to that endeavor. Maybe someday!!

Hello, Yes I confirm H109S currently does not have those features. Possibly in the near feature.
If we ever do then this information would be released.

Thank you all for sharing your opinions and experience. We are kindly open to all suggestions.
