Additionally as sent out by Hubsan001 on Dec 20th. The 2nd paragraph should confirm what I am saying. Now, how do we correct this???

Back to Basics #5: The H906A vs FPV1 transmitter

They look mighty similar, don’t they? Amongst our fanbase, they are both called the “Advanced transmitter”. However, they are not the same.

Today, I’m here to help diffuse some confusion on which is which and what kind of firmware should be used on each transmitter.

For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about- the H906A transmitter is currently the remote that comes with the H109S Standard and Advanced editions, the H301S plane, as well as the H501S Advanced edition. In our very first production batches of these aircraft, the FPV1 transmitter was the first incarnation released to the market. Afterwards, R&D designed a very similar looking, newer model that they coined the “H906A” transmitter. The H906A is the current production model on the market; the FPV1 transmitter is no longer in production.

1) VERY IMPORTANT! An FPV1 or H906A transmitter made for the H109S will not be the same as either made for an H301S or H501S. Never attempt to fly an H301S with an FPV1 or H906A made for an H109S or an H501S. Also, never fly an H109S or H501S with a transmitter made for an H301S. While it is possible fly an H501S with a transmitter made for an H109S and vice versa, please be advised that a transmitter made for an H109S is programmed to sense low aircraft voltage at a much higher value than the H501S battery is designed to run on. Also, there will likely be incompatibilities while using a H109S TX with an H501S or vice versa.

2) The most obvious difference between the two would be how many ports are present at the bottom. I’ve posted pictures of these two as well. The old FPV1 transmitter has 4 ports: audio, video, mini-USB and a Micro SD. On the other hand, the H906A has 2: mini-USB and video.

3) As you may imagine, they have different motherboards. Hence, they use different firmware (which I will go over below). If you currently own an FPV1 transmitter (with 4 different ports on the bottom of the unit), be sure to mention this in any correspondence you have with us. If there is a hardware or firmware problem, we must have this distinction on hand- or else, repairs and the like will be advised inaccurately.

4) The only firmware that can be used for the FPV1 (4 port) transmitter is V1.1.2. If you attempt to flash any firmware that is 1.1.3 or above, you will significantly reduce the transmission range that your unit is capable of.

5) H906A (2 port) is compatible with 1.1.3 and above. I’ve also seen it fly with 1.1.2, but few use this firmware with the H906A nowadays (only H301S aircraft pilots use 1.1.2). The H109S incarnation of the H906A is usually paired with 1.1.3- while the H501S and A pilots use anything that’s of the latest ilk.

Ok, it appears you have decided to ignore me now. This is nothing short of horrendous customer support. Not only are you providing incorrect answers and passing them as current standards but when I hand you the actual correct information, you just stop responding. Well just for chits and giggles, I’ve done more research to help you become knowledgeable in your job. This issue was addressed months ago on a non-Hubsan forum by Annie. How is possible that this is still an issue and you were unaware of information. FYI I’ll repeat, I purchased from HubsanUs through the EBay listings. How can they be pawning off what has to be old product???

That was Jan/Feb and as I stated before Sept was the switch, anything after H906a with GPS.

To all those reading this, I do apologize. I definitely would prefer to Not have these discussions but if I have to, I’d do it in private. Unfortunately they’ve all forgotten how to respond to emails and messages thru Facebook. I’m sure I sound whiny and come across a douche but I’m at my wits end. I spent a lot of money for them not to do the right thing.

Sorry for my reply as above. For the H109S with advanced version.the transmitter we had previously configured with the H109S was a one without GPS module, which called FPV1.But now we configured the H109S with the H906A remote controller which has GPS module. Kindly suggest contact your seller to replace one .thanks
