Hubsan 501s pro help -battery smoke

So I’ve flown my 501s twice. Great flights. Then I accidentally plugged the battery connections in backwards and the battery area began smoking. Since this I can’t get my motors to start. Other than this the drone seems fine. It pairs. Camera works. I’ve recalibrated the controller. Nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions at all?

Probably burned a circuit trace. Best to disassemble and assess damage. It may be repairable.

aren't the ends of the connectors keyed in some fashion to only allow connection the correct way?
