H502S Upgrade

If I were to change the normal compass module with a Geomagnetism sensor would I have to change the firmware for it to work or could I just plug it in and use it as normal. Same question for a camera module from a H216A. I was also considering replacing the flight module with one from a H216A. Any tips or advice? Would it even work?
