H501A, Does transmit in 5,8GHz frequency?

Hello!,

As far as I have seen, the H501A Pro transmits in both frequencies, 2,4GHz for control and video and 5,8GHz for video signal only.
In any site where I found information about H501A, I couldn't read that the H501A doesn't transmit 5,8GHz signal.
Right now I don't know if my H501A has an issue with 5,8 signal transmission or really the model H501A isn't able to transmit in 5,8GHz.
Please!, someone knows if the model H501A can or not transmit in that frequency(5,8GHz)?
In the case that the H501A doesn’t work with 5,8 frequency, What’s the difference between H501A and H501M?
Thanks in advanced
Which help is received as well
Regards

Alfonso

Hello eur_640152Eauv,

H501A support wifi and 5.8G transmission.while H501M just support the wifi transmission.

Hello!,
Thanks a lot!
So, I suspect that my H501A has an issue with the band of 5.8, because couldn't bind it to the HV002+HS001 set.
I´ll contact to support to know how can I solve that

Thanks again

First Bind the H501A to the HT011A and not the WiFi but the 2.4Ghz signal. No APP. Once bound turn on the HS001 and press the CE/Bind Button on the HS001 and it should, work.

This assumes your using the HT011A controller and not the relay or Wifi from a Smartphone. Do not use the Hubsan APP.

It will also work with the H901A controller but not the H906A controller

Good Luck

Hello!,

Thanks a lot for your help it was very useful for me!

Sadly I Haven’t any HT011A controller, I’ve connected to H501A through the HT005 relay

So, I think I have to buy the HT011A controller.

Do you know if after I buy the HT011A controller I will be able to connect to any standard goggles? Or will be I able to connect to Hubsan goggles set only?

Thanks in advanced

Regards

Alfonso

You should be able to connect to any 5.8G goggles but you wont get telemetry like the HS001.

I would go with the HS001. It also can record on its own SD card.

If you don't have the HS002 Head piece and HS001 you can get them for around $40 on Amazon or eBay.

Hi!,
I got the HT011 transmitter and I could bind the H501A to goggles set (Hv002+HS001).
Thanks for your help, it was very helpful

You only get analogue video when the VTX is switched on.
In the 501A it's only switched on when you have a valid binding on the 2.4GHZ control channel.
Therefore if you are binding on wifi, there is no video.
The quick fix is to modify the VTX so it stays on all the time :D
It's nicer and much more pleasant to fly with a proper controller however :-)

You are correct. You have to bind the H501A in 2.4g not WiFi to use the HS001, It then will bind and give you full telemetry like the H901A controller.

Speaking of the the H901A controller you can get it for around $40 USD and it will bind to the H501A and give you AltHold and Manual modes of flight which perform much better than GPS only like you get with the HT011A in WiFi or 2.4g modes. You can get up to 1000 meters with it too. :)

The only thing you can't do when flying the H501A with the H901A controller is waypoints. For Waypoints revert back to the HT011A and the APP.
