I repaired the install of the Cursed 5.8g FPV antenna and took it for a flight test. Good news is I have FPV out to a Whopping 50 meters and then poof Black again.justjarhead wrote: ↑Thu Aug 09, 2018 4:32 amFinally found the problem with a suggestion from FaceBooh Hubsan H501 / H502 / H122D group.
The 5.8g antenna in my H501A right rear Led POD was installed at the factory incorrectly.
The pod is the right rear pod of the H501A when the nose is pointed away from you.
The antenna was not vertical as it was supposed to be but it was lying horizontal lying flat over the motor giving wrong polarization. Explains a lot
I is supposed to be vertical pointing thru the hole in the LED PCB.
After conferring with an experienced pilot and Hubsan Drone Expert the problem is:
a) Bad Antenna
b) Bad VTX transmitter
c) both A & B
This is now 2 months old and I am ready to shitcan the whole thing
I am waiting for Hubsan Service to help fix once and for all.
