But in an earlier reply on this thread you asked if the OP wanted the "new compass number"?Hubsan-Ailsa wrote: ↑Thu Jun 21, 2018 10:58 pmThe compass sensor,Flight Controller board ,landing gear is the same.
The difference of the old main board and new main board is the component position and the Circuit configuration .
We need absolute clarity from Hubsan about this. I'm all for improving the design, but when you effectively create a distinct new version of a model without labeling it as such, you completely screw everyone who may need parts down the line. I once owned a momo-copter made by WLToys, that underwent a complete design change under the same model number. Each part I bought for it forced me to buy more parts because they were incompatible. What I needed to know was that the older model was totaled by breaking any part because compatible parts were unavailable.
That aircraft was relatively inexpensive, less than $100. My H109S is in a different league, yet I find myself back in the same trap! Part sellers are unaware of the different sub-models, buyers struggle to identify what they need, and repairing this very expensive drone becomes almost impossible.
Updated parts that fit the same form factor as earlier parts, suck! Part versions with no clear way to identify which is which, suck! Any opacity as to the list of differences, sucks, we need transparency, we need full disclosure! We need to know when buying the drone package and we need to know when buying parts.
And owners of older versions need a discounted upgrade kit, with everything necessary -- including instructions -- to upgrade an older aircraft so that it's compatible with mainstream available parts.
