Current Warranty on Hubsan Site.

Hi all Back with Warranty update from Hubsan.

If you have been following the warranty issues with return shipping the published warrant on https://www.hubsan.com/na/index.php?main_page=support is back to where it states Hubsan will pay for return shipping if item covered under warranty repair. I just went there to look at what they did in maintenance of the support page.

This is a reversal of what they have been telling customers for awhile now.

From Section 3 of the Warranty on Hubsan.com support page.

a) Hubsan warranty service team will examine and identify the problem once
the product is received. Hubsan will cover the cost of labor, material and return
shipping if we have confirmed the problem is within the quality of our product.

b) If the product is found unqualified for Hubsan warranty service, the customer
can choose either to pay for the corresponding repair fee or request for the
product to be sent back untouched. We will also inform the cost to repair
beforehand.
c) Customers can acquire warranty services at a designated Hubsan repair
center.
d) After receiving a confirmation for warranty service from Hubsan, the product
must be sent back to Hubsan within 7 calendar days.

regarding warranty returns shipping. if you paid with paypal. you can enroll in a free program that will reimburse upto $30 US.

that's the info page.you may have to be logged into paypal.(not sure) I had to log in to find the page.I know not the answer you wanted. but at least it does help keep a little change in your pocket

After speaking with Hubsan about my warranty issue, I have no reason to believe their decision to repair a problem under warranty exists. Everything relayed to me by Hubsan was why my drone might not be covered by warranty. I have decided not to send my drone to Hubsan. I can't invest $75 shipping, be told they have decided not to cover drone under warranty because I put blade guards on it, hold drone hostage, and then hit me with a bill that could be more than the drone is worth.

justjarhead: This seems like a step in the right direction with no-charge shipping back to the sender. Perhaps your comments in your Observations & Suggestions thread was read by the right person!

@magicmannst...I had no idea about this paypal program. It sounds great. So you just pay for the quad with PayPal and then they reimburse you up to $30 for any shipping fees back to the manufacturer? Is there a limit on how many times you can use this feature? Thanks for posting that.

I think someone made a mistake when rebuilding the support page last week. I don't know.

I am public enemy #1 here because of my outspoken comments.

I am also thinking of abandoning this forum. Hubsan seems to ignore it.

The warranty as of last week was back to Hubsan paying return shipping. Talk about inconsistent policies.
