I'm having the same issue with ZMP. Already report this issue to Hubsan and they are checking the flight log. I've seen a lot of this issue on the internet and some of the solutions are turning on flight mode on phone and closing all other open application before launching Hubsan app.

I wish during RTH we can control the drone to some extent. Hope Hubsan can fix this issue soon.

Same problem, but is not the usb that was disconnected, is it the ZMP that lost connection, than rth... Next flight I try closing app and fly mode on!

I'd try making sure physical connections are good. Even though you'll see shiny metal surfaces on plugs and sockets they can still be contaminated with oil from manufacturing of handling. Take a pencil eraser you've made sure has a clean tip by rubbing it clean on your pants or something then run down the connectors. Alcohol can also clean. Once you are certain it's not intermittent physical connections then I'd go after the phones apps interfering.

Only way I can see the disconnect as being a manufacturing problem is cold solder joints or heat warping boards causing circuit board traces to separate.

Apple phones sometimes see a charging cable being plugged in and treat the cable as a USB connect. I look at the fouling up by the phone as contaminated metal surfaces so when that happens I clean off the plug and there's no mistaking the cable as a USB data connection.

Simply stated try making suree the pugs are clean. They can look shiny and be pure gold but some of those oils block even hard pressed together contacts data flow. Army radio gear connections used to play that game and a pencil with eraser was the sure fix.
