Ambarella sports image processor

Post by ECA77 » Sun Nov 04, 2018 2:46 am

I keep reading that the camera uses the Ambarella sports image processor, but which one? The older one (A9) in the Mavic Pro had problems even shooting 1080p at 60fps. The newer one (A9SE) apparently can handle a lot more processing and therefore delivers better videos even at higher frame rates and resolutions.

I think it's this:

The link didn't work to get to the PDF but it takes you to the Ambarella website and then if you go to products, drone cameras you can see the link to the PDF.

It would still be nice to get a definitive answer. I am assuming it has the Ambarella A12S image processor and the SONY IMX117 Image Sensor like most of the inexpensive sport cams out there, which is fine. I just like to glean all the information about things I can get.
