To update or not to update? That is the question

So my Zino is in route and I’ve been reading quite a few things about all the firmware updates. The good and the bad. My question to those of you who HAVE updated, what do you recommend upgrading and what should I stay away from. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your input. Did you do any firmware updates(cam, gimbal, etc..) I’m reading and watching vids about all these color flashes and I’m a little weary about updating those.

When I received the zino I doubted it like you, but since everything started working correctly from the first day, I updated it and everything works fine. To think that they are improvements of firmware and now the turns and the stability are better thing than before were more abrupt.

If your drone comes and it works ok, don’t update your firmware as it seems to mess it up.

If it’s also problematic out the box, install new firmware, tell Ailsa it didn’t work and enjoy the endless ineffective suggestions until you can’t be bothered.

If it comes, works, even after the firmware update, I suggest playing the lottery, as you stand a good chance of winning

Geez :? Ok, well let’s see what condition mine is in when I get it. Are the camera/gimbal updates only to fix problems(flashing, gimbal error, etc...)or help with actual video quality?

I think it is to help with all you’ve mentioned there. Some people say it’s improved it and others say nothing is better, just more camera options in the app. Although I haven’t been able to test this since my drone doesn’t work.
Most issues are to do with the FC update. It was supposed to cure loss of altitude when turning, wind stability, toilet bowl effect and so on but I don’t know first hand as I can’t test it myself. My drone stopped connecting to rc after update and it won’t pair up again. I try flying it with my phone but it loses connection sporadically even if hovering.

I’m sure you’ll be fine mate, just don’t update firmware to the current available one, maybe wait for after

Thanks Ailsa! Can you give us a projected release date of this new IT firmware? Also can you tell us if it will fix soft focus of the camera?
