Faulty transmitter HT 016

On 26.11.2018 my pre-ordered Hubsan Zino H117S was delivered by GLS.
Unfortunately, the Remote Controller can not be charged via the supplied USB cable. Also other USB cables do not work.
For charging, I use a 5 volt 2 amp power adapter USB
The remote controller HT 016 shows no reaction when plugging in the USB plug. The blue LEDs on the charging indicator do not light up. The battery is not charging. Since the charging circuit obviously does not work.

Order number 2365 from 22.10. 2018

Hello Ailsa.
Many thanks for your response. Meanwhile I have a reply to my mails from Albert Escobedo customer service.
He has a request for controller replacement to the international
Delivery team provided. I send the requested pictures
also to her. Unfortunately I can not my ZINO since 26.10.18
test because the transmitter battery is discharged. I hope so
they can speed up an exchange of the transmitter.
Many Thanks
Yours sincerely
Klaus

I received my zino today, and mine does the exact same thing. no power on the usb port, only data.
as you can see from the picture there is 0A current draw through usb

ok, done more testing for you ailsa. but still need a solution / replacement

blue charging light on the inside lights up, and 5v is getting to the 5v test point on the charging board.
at the battery though there is no charging voltage getting through as it only has 3.7v at the battery.
charging the battery externally does work, but this means I have to pull the transmitter into pieces everytime I want to charge it

ok, further testing shows that mosfet number Q4 is missing, and because of this the nearby voltage regulator at U4 is underpowered. come on, does it really take much to test charging before it leaves the factory

Open up the controller and see if there is a battery installed you have no current draw.😀
