Zino battery Indicator

Post by 3108vibhash » Sun Dec 09, 2018 11:37 am

How accurate is zino battery? I flew it till battery showed 30% , later turned it on again an it showed 60%. Will it be safe to fly again assuming it is 60%?

I wouldn't try it with a 370 $ quadcopter. Better safe than sorry.

By the way. Perhaps another feature request that Ailsa could take to the engineers. Give the user the option to choose between displaying a percentage indicator or an actual voltage indicator. At least for the more experienced users, knowing the actual voltage of the quad's LiPo would be more valuable, I guess.

Hello 3108vibhash,

May I know your Zino's actual flight time?

There were three flight done on 100% charge
First 2.17 mins, second 10.33 mins and 3rd 02.06 mins. After battery dropped to 30% I stopped flying. Later turned it on and it showed 60% which after some time dropped to 55%. Still went ahead and charged it back to 100%.

Today tried two flight starting with 100 % battery. Zino flew 8 mins 35 sec and battery went down to 40%. Did second small flight for 2 mins 45 seconds went to 30%. Landed aircraf turned device off. Came home turned it ON and battery 55%. Why is indicator not accurate? if 55% is the accurate reading than I can fly more and not just 12-13 mins. Hubsan team still waiting for input.

What was the temperature? Cold weather reduces battery life a lot.

It was 52 degree Fahrenheit, within range what hubsan recommends.

Battery voltage drops under load, the flight voltage is what is important because that is the amount that is available to fly the drone. At rest voltage will rise after the flight but will drop rapidly when put under load again if not recharged.
