Says gimbal protection in the app all the time. Any ideas?

Because you have to remove protection from gimbal before to switch on You risk ti crash your gimbal before start to use a drone learn how to use it

I appreciate the help mate, but ofc I took the gimbal cover off! Any other advice? Ive obvs done all re calibrations

Did you try resetting zino..turn off ..remove battery and reconnecting it again? I removed gimbal cover after zino is turned on gimbal wont work, restarted it and gimbal worked fine.

So the gimbal starts to work at about 25 degrees pitch/yaw. Any less and it thinks the gimbal cover is on??? Cmon Hubsan - I know Im not the only one

This quad has a built in feature called "gimbal lock". If the quad crashes,or is tilted more than 90 degrees,the gimbal locks so it won't be damaged.
Reboot your quad.

Ive rebooted and pulled the battery many times today - the problem persists - any other ideas?

Cannot think of other options. Hopefully Hubsan will be able top help you to fix it.
