Android app reviews wanted here...

Post by PeaUK » Mon Dec 03, 2018 5:27 pm

hi All,

if you are using an Android app with your Zino, please comment below which phone/device you are using and your thoughts (positives & negatives) about your experience(s) so far.

I am asking this because the RC Saylors said in one of their videos (3rd one I think) the Android app didn't work for them at all.

Thanks in advance

My Zino is tracking for delivery tomorrow. It will not be here until nearly dark so I won't be able to fly, I learned by error not to try and fly an unfamiliar drone in the dark. So it will be Wednesday before I'll get a chance to fly it.

it's not long now for you, I hope the Android app works as well as the iPhone app does. enjoy :)

(and please let us know here what you think of the drone and the Android app)

In some review the active track mode is not available in android. I hope it was a mistake!

let's hope the active track problem with Android is an isolated problem and not a problem for all Android devices....

I just tried mine and the active track said it was too close no matter how far I away I was. The follow me seemed to work okay. I took some video and the files don't seem to play. I let the Zino format the card and they say they are MP4 but nothing I tried would play it and said it might be corrupted file????????

Otherwise the Zino was easy to fly and I'm a beginner. The return to home worked perfectly.

I found that the issue with the videos is that you need to be sure to shut off the video recording on the app before you shut off the Zino and controller.

Also I tried to use an old Galaxy S7 to use for the controller and it worked fine even though the phone has no sim card. Got idea for the RC Saylors. That way I can keep my regular phone handy to receive calls. Please note that if you use the cord to connect your phone to the controller that has micro usb connectors on both ends of the cord make sure you use the correct ends. One connector is marked phone and the other is marked TX. I had them reversed and nothing was working. When I changed it it then everything worked perfectly.

thanks everyone for the advice and keep the feedback on the app etc going here.

I hope Hubsan staff are paying close attention to this thread so they can fix these issues in the near future.
