Pete. This is for you and DonHienz both.
If you will d/l the "Compass"app from "Play Store",it will help you to see if your compass is compromised.
1.Open the compass app and set it down on a table, and get it turned until it reads "0°"
2.Turn on Remote,Zino, and device. Let it all link up.
3. In lower right corner, see where it says "yaw". It will read in degrees.
4. Turn Zino, sitting flat on the table, until the "yaw" reading is 0°.
See how much difference between the reading or in the direction your Zino is compared to what your compass app is reading.
With Zino flat on the table, and your phone flat on the table,,Zino's camera, and The top of your phone should be pointingin the same direction. Both should be within 2-3°of each other.
If not,recalibrate Zino.

You are confusing GPS(distance from remote-drone)settings to compass settings. Completely different.DonHeintz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:51 amI'm confused. Are we comparing direction or location? The 211 or 235 is direction which I don't see anywhere in the pictures of the app. When I compare my locations the Zino is shown 19 ft from the controller which is next to it and if I compare that to my compass app the Zino is 121 ft from it yet in the same location. This was after I did a calibration. Before the calibration the Zino is shown 14 ft from the controller which is on top of it and 215 ft from the compass location which should be the same. If I google map the location it is 207 ft from my compass app and 12.5 ft from the zino and 18.5 ft from the controller. So I don't know if any of this means anything except the google map location and the Zino are much closer than my Map app. I'm more concerned about the distance from the controller.

If thats what we have to do than why is Hubsan taking so long in answering back. They said to me that they are working with engineers. Hope its an easy fix. They have also updated android app.

I set the compass to zero and the yaw to zero and the directions were different. I want to post the pics but can't figure out how to do it. Where can I put the pics so I can show them here.

When you click reply, go down and select attachment. Once file is uploaded select to show in line.
Re: Zino Crashed again - Usteady Drone
I recalibrated the Zino and set the compass phone app to zero and the Zino Yaw to zero and you can see the directions are skewed.

He is suggesting to recalibrate it until both reading matches i.e compass and zino yaw.

Correct. Try taking it outside, not around any sort of metal. Not in your driveway or deck. Out in a field to get a good calibration. Once u get it calibrated good.......leave it alone.
Also, possibly, you may need to de-gause it. If you've got it magnetized somehow, you may need to correct it. Take something, like an old speaker magnet, get it close to your quad, and slowly spin the man get in an ever winding circle, while moving it away from your quad. This removes any magnetic qualities from the compass.
It's an old trick we learned back in the DJI phantom one days. Look it up.
