Firmware update V 1.0.44 opinions.

I had a first flight with the original firmware and was amazed at how easy it was to fly and how it hovered in one spot. Unfortunately the video was corrupted since I forgot to stop the recording before shutting everything down. The Return to home feature was right on the mark. After that I upgraded to Firmware update V 1.0.43 and did a flight that seemed okay but around 2 minutes into the flight it started toilet bowling. It started to drift down the street so I hit the Return to home and it landed about 15 ft off the mark and crashed into a bush. It said it had to be recalibrated so I did that and did another flight and after raising it to 5 ft it took off to the west and crashed into the side of a grass slope. Recalibrated it again and after raising to about 3 ft it took off to the south crashing again. Fortunately noting broke in the crash landings. I gave up then until I got the Firmware update V 1.0.44. I have done two flights since with the first on a windy day which was a little hairy but controllable. I put that off to the wind. Today I did another flight with little wind and at first when I raised it to 6 ft it drifted back and forth to the north and south about 15 ft each way and then settled in and was hovering fine I took it up to about 50 ft and did an orbit flight and performed well. See the attached video. I didn't notice any toilet bowling and I think any jerking movements was because the operator(me) moved the joysticks too quickly. I cut off the end of the video because my address started to show but the return to home was within one to two feet. So I was happy. I used a Samsung S7 android phone. One other thing I thought was strange is that with the return to home it landed close but in the reverse direction. On my first flight with the exact landing it was facing the same way it took off. I don't know which is the norm.

Finally was able to try brief flight around 20 m height today. With autotake off at 2 m drone is steady despite the winds around 12 mph. Not losing much height as compared to before. No toilet bowl effect but again I did not try long flight. So far looked steady and nice. Will fly long tomorrow if weather permits. Good work Hubsan team!

Yeah i said the same thing before the update had no problems at all then all of a sudden BAM!

I had no issues with stock firmware. After update I had TB and drone crashed twice. Someone suggested to caliberate it until reading of yaw is close to actual compass. Since then no issues so far. Have tried latest firmware no issue. Have not tested long flight after most recent update and also have not tried it near the house where previously i had toilet bowl effect. I suspect its compass lose caliberation if surrounding areas have high magnetic fields. Will see.

Ok that's cool but why is everyone having problems post update i had several successful flights before then i don't know what it could be but i will try the compass thing tomorrow

If your Zino is 5 meters from the phone,it will land directly and it was facing the same way it took off.

Tried flight again today, little cold weather around 32 F. Good satellites and clear weather. Drone connected quickly with transmitter. Did not calibrate as last flight went fine. I started flying using auto take off , while taking off drone drifted slightly. Landed it did the caliberation again and again used autotake off. This time very steady take off and flight. Tried orbit mode very steady. Flew till 70 m height and pressed RTH . No issues and drone landed exactly on the drone launch pad. So far steady and no issues. Have to check video quality now, screen recording showed now issues.
