HT016B Transmitter Charging Issue

When I received my Hubsan Zino in the mail, the controller had about 3/4 charge on it. Since then it has incrementally went down but when I try to charge it using the cord provided in the box with the Zino, it does not charge back up. It doesn't light up. It doesn't do anything when I put it on the charger. It is now at one last light of batter level and blinking. I thought I was doing something wrong until I found this post:

It seems that my transmitter/controller may be faulty as this is exactly what mine is doing. Is there anything that Hubsan can do to expedite a new controller if mine is faulty? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
