Re: Controller disconnects in flight

I've never had a disconnection in flight until the new firmware update. It happened twice today and returned to home on its own after only 50 meters of flight. I couldn't get it connected after second flight. I rolled back to 1.0.44 version and it connected immediately. No time to fly today so I'll have to do it tomorrow to see if problem is gone for good.

The new firmware also gave me intermittent problems with video that I never had before. I'm going to stick with version 44 if it remains stable on my Zino.

My connection issues were solved by following Hubsan's firmware upgrade protocol precisely. After upgrading the FC firmware, you must install the camera firmware. Yes, this can cause disconnects if you don't do it correctly. Here is my last flight. I am on FC version 46, and it works well, and has improved flight control characteristics over version 44.

I have upgraded three times now and have followed directions precisely each time and this is the only time that there has been a problem (1.0.46). Yes I have the the "44" version and the "43" version on hand. How would you like me to send it to you? Hubsan should really keep a library of them available.

P.S. Here is my screen recording of my trouble connecting and keeping connected with everything that I did. I also did this a previous time that I did not record that was the same exact outcome on the same day (this last Saturday).

You didn't say in your video but do you routinely turn off your phone's wifi before you start the Hubsan App and fire up the Zino and Controller?

I had WiFi on in this video. I am using an iPhone Xs. I also should have mentioned that I formatted the SD card in FAT32. Good luck with your Zino, just for fun, you might try reinstalling the camera firmware. I'm pretty sure that is what solved my connection issues.

It's all fun...glad yours is working well. Mine also yawed in GPS mode but to the right instead of left. I think I'll just wait until the middle of the month update this month and try it again. I want to get this thing stable so I can do some distance flying and see if these wifi extenders work...
