Yes I did it from firmware change on my pro transmitter. Here is the help a guy on RCGroups gave me about a year ago to fix it...sorry for thread wandering...

If you have a newer SS like myself is is finicky.....

"I found a way to get the parameters from the H501A/H501ss
Connect the battery and wait till the drone has booted.
Then start the FC mod tool.
En go to the tab EEPROM.
Then connect the usb cable and click at restart.
Disconnect the usb cable and the battery and reconnect the battery.
when you connect the drone with the usb cable and press at restart , there is an error noise coming from the engines.
then disconnect everything but leave the tool open. connect the battery and wait til you see the leds blink Yellow Then push the usb cable in.
This is very importend !!!
click on get parms.

If its working for you then you see the parameters !!
chainge them and push on Flash
And you are done !!?

So as already discussed, you cannot change the parameter without hacking it using the Russian tool
