After firmware update drone lost connection to controller at flight.

Hi

After updating drone firmware drone lost connection from controller while retuning home. it's looks like the drone completely shut down in mid air as the picture shows the last position of drone. Unable to retrieve drone. Fault in update? Please advise why it would shut down in mid air. As I'm on holiday and very disappointed of this occurrence.

Thats scary. I am now afraid to fly as my drone crashed twice after the update. But if it lose connection it can go anywhere.

Its the worst feeling ever. Walked the whole beach hoping to find it so that i could get the sdcard from it, but its no where to be found. Really upset with the new firmware. Why release something that unstable, very disappointed in hubsans firmware production, now im sitting without a drone. Just a controller and spare.

Did you find the coordinates of the drone on your screen?
You enter them in "google" on your phone and he will show you the way ...
Unless he has fallen into the water of course ...

According to your picture your Zino was 977m away when you lost connection. Do you have evidence that your Zino shut down in mid air? How long did you wait at the place your Zino originally took off from?
I just ask because it could be possible your Zino was just out of signal range and then automatically initiated RTH (Return To Home) and flew back to its "Home" position.

Walked as close as possible to the drones last position and 10m in both direction on the beach, unable to go straight to drones coordinates as life guards did not allow to go in that deep. But what i don't understand is why did it loose total connection while returning home as if it completely shut down, before the update the only problem was pairing the drone to controller and gimble issues, return to home worked flawlessly. Its heartbreaking knowing you had something to be proud of and in that split moment its gone.

I hope no encounters such a occurrence ever. Its was definitely a well build drone, just firmware was its down fall.

Also,did you wait until it went green?(GPS mode),or did u fly it when it was red?(Bad GPS)
Your drone recognized"home"as the spot it first had enough satellites to go green. So,if it went green 200m away,that would be home.

And,another thought..........if it had low battery while Rth,it probably self landed in the ocean.
Both of these things will be "pilot error".

Had 12 satellites before taking off, and yes it was a full battery in the drone the flight was only around 4 minutes when i pushed all the way forward last i looked it was 65% when returning home.

Why would other users have issues as well after firmware update, including crash issues?
