I've been flying a Phantom 3 4K for two years taking progress photos and videos above construction projects I am involved with. While happy with the Phantom I noted the announcement of the Zino and took a chance on preordering it back in October. It arrived late Monday afternoon and after charging the controller and drone batteries that evening flew it yesterday for the first time. Honestly, I'm very impressed. The Zino's photos may not have the complete crispness of the Phantom's camera but the video is excellent. I'm thinking clients will not be able to really differentiate the results between the two drones and just be quite pleased with the aerial views we'll be sharing of their projects. I'm excited to see how this product improves over the upcoming months.
I'll put the Zino back in the air later today to continue gaining more experience with its operation. I'll admit, it does drift more than the Phantom which seems to just stick in the sky when you take your hands off the sticks. I'm also looking forward to getting the additional batteries I ordered as flying for twenty minutes at a time is a little limiting.
On the other topic I listed, Hubsan, please don't forget about your customers that use Macintoshes! I've had my business for over thirty years and during that time I have ONLY purchased Macs for my offices and project sites. I'm hoping that Hubsan's update tools can run on a Mac and doesn't present a problem to shops that do not own and will not buy a PC. Let this updating procedure be available to run on both platforms.
