Which phone?

Post by ge_2b4eaNN6vl » Wed Dec 05, 2018 9:41 am

I'm new in drone. I pre-order the zino but never fly before. I have currently a smartphone which doesn't support WiFi 5 gHz so I'm planning to buy a new one. I would like to know if there is some requirements except the wifi 5 gHz for the phone. I found very few informations.
I think to buy a Samsung A6 (I invested in the zino so my budget is low ;) ). I guess that should be alright even if the screen is a bit small. What do you think of that?

I don't know which phone but I know you can fly the Zino without wi-fi on a phone.
Check out this YouTube where they did it...

I sorry but you misunderstood the video. They didn't say you don't need WiFi they said you didn't need cell service. Big difference. There is an option in the app for bluetooth but I don't know what that gives you. It could be for transmission and video or not. Also I don't know what distance it works to. I would suggest you get WiFi. The idea of using a phone without cell service is great cause you can keep your main phone open for calls or videos. Also you may be able to get a cheaper phone on Ebay that can't get cell service or gets it's service from cheaper networks like T mobile.

Your phone doenst need to support 5ghz. Trasmitter is already 5ghz for communicate with zino. So if you think to buy a new phone only for that reason, dont buy. your phone will work with it
