501a firmware

Can a 501a have the firmware updated with the 501ss firmware? I have no intention on using the wifi ever. I would like to use this quad like one would use a 501 ss. I bought this used 501a to replace my new 501ss that flew away. I think it is still in orbit.

I was really hoping someone from Hubsan would see this post and help me out. Since my new 501ss flew away and I bought a used 501a to replace it I could really use some help to get this flying. I call Hubsan phone numbers, no one answers. I send emails to Hubsan, no one replied. What does it take? Just want some help.

The 501a should bind with the h906a or what ever 2.4ghz controller you have. Only difference that I know of is the wifi chip in the 501a. Different rx software and different camera software but same FC software. I recently purchased a 501a because the waypoints seemed like fun. It binds nicely with my 501ss remote.
