Federal law requires that small unmanned aircraft weighing more than .55 pounds and less than 55, be registered with the FAA and marked with a registration number, either by registering online or by using the legacy paper based registration process.
The H501S fits these guidelines.

Not having the serial number would also make it impossible to register the quadcopter with the FAA. Hopefully a Hubsan representative can help find this serial number. Also, why isn't the serial number placed on the quadcopter where it can't be worn off?

Just recieved a new H501S with this version of firmware. I noticed it didn't say H501S-S on the firmware screen. It is an S-S though right? Also it does the gyrosensor but never asks for a compass calibration. Is this normal?
