Junior and Senior have slower response using the joysticks while advanced is the most responsive. See charts in APP and it will show you the stick response under controller settings

Go to the Facebook forum H501S Quadcopter and go to files section and download the H501S rar files. It should have the firmware you are looking for.

It sounds like a calibration issue. Compass calibration can do this or insufficient number of satellite links to quad. Does the 501S rotate in same spot in the sky? If so Rotational Calibration may be needed.

Since it seems you are not capturing video are you capturing photos. With video you have to stop it before powering down the Zino.

If you connect your Iphone XR directly to the H501A with the APP and things still don't work I suspect your Iphone and the IOS on it. Hubsan may have broken things with the APP though when App was modified
to handle the Zino but I have not seen this in all the Hubsan forums I belong too.

Stock out of the box with a clear path with no obstructions to the H501.
