I only received the zino yesterday so I didn't know you sent me one

I have a transmitter that will not charge straight out of the box.

I have already stated I can charge the battery directly and already found the problem.

ok, further testing shows that mosfet number Q4 is missing, and because of this the nearby voltage regulator at U4 is underpowered. come on, does it really take much to test charging before it leaves the factory

I received my zino today, and mine does the exact same thing. no power on the usb port, only data.
as you can see from the picture there is 0A current draw through usb
