Re: GPS data Recovery
Hi Bill, The tx display should display the last coordinates until the battery in the tx fails or the tx is switched off........ unless of course the drone gps signal is picked up again and then those new coordinates will be displayed along with the other telemetry details. As for your phone, put on ...

Re: GPS data Recovery
Unfortunately not. If it lost the 2.4 control signal it should have set off home and headed for its original take off position, that is until it received the tx signal again.... If you had flicked the rth switch then I believe once it came back within range it should have headed for the tx. You dont...

Re: Where is the *^$! Owners Manual?
As rhornibrook says go to the Hubsan.com site, look under the support tab and select the model you have then select either the quickstart or User manual for download.
System is quick and efficient. As for firmware and installation tools........ that's something quite different

Re: 501s calibration
The latest 501ss drones have a new compass module which does not require a manual orientation to align the compass for every flight after a battery change. Your FC and RX firmware if checking your transmitter tx) will be around:-
FC-V 1.1.46
RX-V 2.1.50

Re: Video & photo info
For the 501ss quad, changing the date is not possible on the drone and will have to be added / adjusted when you copy the video files from the sd card to your storage medium or pc.
For catalogue purposes you will be giving the video file a meaningful name so just add the date/time to the end

Re: H501s-s maintenance
I have oiled mine with a very light machine oil, but then I did the same with my radio controlled helicopters back in the 80's. a fine dropper (hypodermic ) needle was used. Many folk leave them to run dry but i find my 501ss's noisy. I think a lot depends on how dusty the environment is (take off a...

Re: just got a H501ss and have a few questions
Before you start modifying the quad setup, fly it and see if you have any specific limitations. The advantage of the standard tx is that is is all self contained, nothing to catch, forget to screw on and blow your output transistors etc. Do not modify it for the sake of it. You do not mention any FP...

Re: H901A vs. H906A range
Yes, your standard tx will (should) give you more than line of sight in favorable conditions. By 300m its hard to see in most cases especially if you take your eyes off it. ;-) Most radio systems get hit by external influences and your Hubsan will be no different. Ideally do not fly in an urban area...
